Our 100% Tallow “FAT” Soap has three ingredients; tallow, water and lye. Clean and simple.

Made from the same beautiful tallow as our cream, this soap can be used as a shampoo or body bar. Brian makes it so that not all of the fat is converted by the lye making it very moisturizing. Perfect as a replacement to your current chemically-laden industrial soap or the locally-made soap you might be using that gets it’s ingredients from far and exotic lands. If used as a shampoo bar no conditioner is required, but you might want to use an occasional apple cider vinegar (1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water) rinse to prevent build up on your hair.

This soap used with the tallow cream are the perfect duo to simplify and green up your body care regime.

Tallow is rendered beef fat and not vegan ( we’ve been asked ) The fats in tallow are similar to the fats in our skin, making it leave a protective barrier. Suitable for most skin types including babies, sensitive, irritated and acne prone, this soap is perfect for hydration. Plus, it’s therapeutic for cracked dry skin, stretch marks, scars, psoriasis and eczema.

We use grass-fed beef fat from Lunenburg County family farms and render it on our wood cookstove. ensuring high-quality, chemical & preservative-free, ethically-produced small batch soap that supports a local small business, your skin and the environment.

Tallow made from grass fed cattle fat has a well balanced ratio of omega 3 and 6 fats. This makes tallow anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-aging, moisturizing, regenerative, antimicrobial, collagen and skin barrier supportive. Along with the healing properties contained in the fats of Tallow it contains vitamins A, D, E and K.
